Honda raised the bar for in servicing the community within and around its presence. The safety of the people has been Honda’s top priority during pandemic. The COVID warriors who worked relentlessly since the start of the pandemic were provided with various types of protective equipment to keep them safe as they continued to serve the nation. Honda provided its support by availing Fumigation sprayers, 1.4 Lacs Masks, Infrared thermometers, Face shields, Hand sanitizers, Cloth masks & PPE kits were given to doctors, Police and frontline workers at Haryana, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and many part of India.
During the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, thousands of daily wage workers who were the sole bread winners for their families lost their livelihood and earnings due to the nationwide lockdown imposed in 2020. In order to provide help, Honda came forward to support the people and distributed 75 Thousand plus 'Ready to eat food' packets & 'Grocery Kits (ration kit)' in Haryana, Rajasthan, Karnataka & Gujarat during April and May. The initiative helped many people to survive the difficult times.
To reach the last man and serve the service from the government, Honda joined hand with Indian government and donated 2.5 Cr. to PM cares fund & 50 Lacs to Haryana, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Gujarat & Uttar Pradesh respectively during the nationwide lockdown in March-2020.
