Access to quality healthcare is hampered due to various mobility issues that may affect certain sections of the society such as elderly, specially abled, children, patients and women from remote areas. Further, infrastructural challenges also impede access to quality healthcare, such as absence of proper roads and transportation issues. Mobile Medical Health Services have proven instrumental in bridging this gap over the past few years. These Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) provide primary medical services free of cost and further offer transportation services to patients who need to be referred to hospitals for treatment in Gharaunda & Karnal district of Haryana state.
